Nintendo eShop funds and game purchases

Nintendo eShop credit must be evaluated against the Nintendo Account and the intended store. A balance card is different from a download code or subscription.

Your next steps

  1. Check the receiving Nintendo Account country.
  2. Read the code type and eligible store conditions.
  3. Confirm the game or content is available for that account.

The details that make a difference

Do not use the console's display language as a proxy for account country. If buying for another person, ask about their account setting before choosing a regional card.

Compare the card denomination with the intended purchase. A leftover balance is not the same as a saving on the game or currency you need today.
