Player ID vs display name

A player ID is an identifier used to distinguish accounts. A display name is the name other players see and may not be unique or permanent.

Your next steps

  1. Open the in-game profile panel.
  2. Locate the numeric or alphanumeric player identifier.
  3. Verify the profile name and server next to the copied identifier.

The details that make a difference

If a seller asks for a player tag that includes a prefix, preserve the required format. Do not remove characters just because another game's identifier uses only digits.

When a checkout offers a recipient preview, use it as an extra check. If the preview disagrees with the intended profile, stop rather than completing payment and hoping support can reverse delivery.
