How to compare prices in different currencies

Convert both offers into the same currency before comparing unit cost. Use a current rate quoted by the payment provider you expect to use and include its applicable fees.

Global · EnglishUpdated October 4, 2026

Your next steps

  1. Write down the merchant's charged currency and total.
  2. Enter the rate as destination currency per one source currency unit.
  3. Add percentage and fixed fees, then compare delivered units.

The details that make a difference

Illustrative example: a 20 USD purchase at 0.92 EUR per USD starts at 18.40 EUR before fees. A 3% fee would add 0.552 EUR. The calculator rounds the display but uses the entered rate; this is not a live quote.

Avoid counting a fee twice when the bank's quoted rate already includes it. Save the final authorized total for an accurate post-purchase comparison.
